Privacy Policy
Drawdle is a daily word puzzle game. This page describes what data we handle, why, and how to delete it.
What we collect
Anonymous play (no sign-in)
Your streak, earned badges, board theme choice and drawing proposals are stored only in your browser's localStorage. Nothing is transmitted off your device.
Signed-in play (optional, via Google account)
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive only:
- your Google account email address ;
- a unique account identifier issued by Supabase (our auth provider).
The same gameplay data listed above is then synced to a hosted Postgres database (Supabase) so it follows you across devices. Drawdle does not request any other Google scope (no Drive, no Gmail, no contacts, no photos).
Anonymous analytics
We use Umami, an open-source, privacy-friendly analytics service, to see aggregate usage only: page views, where visitors come from (referrers), and a few gameplay events such as a completed puzzle or a share. It uses no cookies, collects no personal data and no cross-site identifiers, so it cannot identify you.
What we do not collect
- No trackers (our analytics is cookieless).
- No advertising identifiers or cross-site profiling.
- No location, contact list, or browsing history.
How long we keep data
- Anonymous: as long as your browser keeps the localStorage. Clearing site data in your browser settings removes it.
- Signed-in: until you delete your account. To delete, email [email protected] from the address linked to your account. Your row is removed within 7 days.
Third parties
- Supabase hosts the database and handles authentication for signed-in users. Supabase privacy policy.
- Google provides the OAuth sign-in flow and shares your email with us. Google privacy policy.
- Cloudflare handles email routing for [email protected].
- Umami provides cookieless, anonymous analytics. Umami privacy policy.
Your rights
- Access: email [email protected] for a copy of your stored data.
- Deletion: email the same address to delete your account.
- Portability: data is a small set of strings and counts ; we can export it on request.
